John Brown University Features Alumni Art

John Brown University will feature the artwork of seven Visual Arts alumni in an upcoming display titled JBU Alumni Invitational Exhibit. The exhibit, which opens Friday, Oct. 2, will include paintings, illustrations and assemblages by Natalie K. Nelson ‘08, Jeremy Grant ‘07 and John Holcomb ’07 and artists of the Jeb Kennedy Collective, including alumni Kyle Armstrong ‘10, Kyle Blair ‘11, Jason Flack ‘10 and John Springs ‘10,

“The work of these alumni has been shown in respected galleries, published in national magazines and comic books, used in popular electronic games and assisted in mission efforts,” said Charles Peer, JBU Art Gallery curator. “They are a wonderful representation of the quality and variety of work that our graduates are producing around the world.”

JBU will host an opening reception that is free and open to the public from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday in the Windgate Visual Arts West Gallery on campus. The exhibit will remain open through October 30 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 2 to 4 p.m. on Sundays. For more information contact the JBU Department of Visual Arts at 479-238-8561.
