Harding University names new business graduate school chair

Dr. Glen Metheny has been named chair of Harding University’s graduate program of business in the Paul R. Carter College of Business Administration effective June 1.

This new position was formed as a result of the retirement of Dr. Jimmy Behel, academic director of the MBA program. Metheny’s current position as director of the program and Behel’s former position merged to function as one role.

Metheny has worked with the University’s MBA program since 2008. He has also served the University in other capacities, including in areas of degree completion and admissions. He holds a Ph.D. in organizational leadership from Regent University.

“I am grateful that Dr. Metheny is willing to take on the challenges of the chair’s role for the graduate program in business,” said Provost Larry Long. “Dr. Behel and he have laid a good foundation for the program, and I am confident that he will do an excellent job in leading and growing this important graduate program.”
