Award-winning Pianist Alan Chow to Perform at JBU

Internationally-acclaimed pianist Alan Chow will perform at John Brown University on Sunday, April 13, at 3 p.m. in the Berry Performing Arts Center.
Chow, a Steinway artist and former artist-in-residence at the University of Arkansas, has performed in 45 states with many of the nation’s most acclaimed orchestras. He frequently tours China, Taiwan, Japan and Singapore.
Chow won first prize in the Palm Beach Invitational International Piano Competition, the Concert Artists Guild International Competition and the UCLA International Piano Competition. Additionally, he won the silver medal and Audience Favorite Prize at the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition and placed in the William Kapell International Piano Competition.
As a chamber musician, Chow has performed with the American, Pacifica and Miami String Quartets and played as a guest at several renowned music festivals throughout the U.S.
A revered teacher, Chow has taught master classes at universities, conservatories and summer festivals throughout Europe, Asia and North America. He is currently a member of the artist faculty at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music.
