Seven new members have been elected to the University of the Ozarks’ Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Brandon Carlson ’10, Whitney Lewis ’14, Gary Perry ’74, George Pittenger ’91, Luis Sanchez ’08, Courtney Taylor ’09, and Bruce Williams ’43, were elected during the April board meeting. They will begin their three-year terms on July 1.

Carlson, of College Station, Texas, works as a community director at Texas A&M University, where he received a master’s degree with a focus on educational administration in 2012. A member of the tennis team while at Ozarks, he was named a 2010 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American by CoSIDA.

A native of Clarksville, Lewis lives in Bentonville, Ark., where she works as a carrier sales coordinator for J.B. Hunt. She graduated from Ozarks with a degree in business administration, was a member of the tennis team and delivered the senior class address at the 2014 Commencement.

Perry lives in Alma, Ark., where he serves as pastor at Visionary Christian Church, is a member of the Alma Boys and Girls Club, is a trustee for Summit Hospital, and is an insurance agent for Combined Insurance.

Pittenger and his wife, Loraine, live in Midlothian, Texas, where he is completing a master’s degree in counseling. He is a member of the First Presbyterian Church and is a trustee for the Presbyterian Developmental Day School in Dallas. He worked as an admissions counselor at Northwood University for nine years.

Sanchez lives in Mexico where he works as the Northern LatAm director for Entrepreneurial Finance Lab. A Walton Scholar while at Ozarks, he earned degrees in political science, business administration, and economics at Ozarks. He is the Alumni Board’s first international board member.

Taylor lives in Tulsa, Okla., and works for Town & Country School as a lower school assistant. She is an active member at her church, LifeChurch.tv, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. While at Ozarks, she was a member of the Student Foundation Board and received a degree in general studies.

Williams and his wife, Tracy, live in West Columbia, Texas. Retired from the military, Williams preaches during his spare time. He has two daughters and a granddaughter from his previous marriage to his late wife Virginia ’43.
