WBC & Integrity First Bank Partner for Teach Children to Save Day

Integrity First Bank of Pocahontas joined Williams Baptist College education students to present the annual “Teach Children to Save Day” at Alma Spikes Elementary School on Tuesday, April 19. The program aims to teach students about the value of saving their money.

Integrity First has sponsored the program since 1996 and has taught over 2,600 students in the years since. Student teachers from the Williams Teacher Education Program presented the lesson on saving to the school children, and employees from the bank assisted the student teachers. WBC students & Integrity First employees have partnered in presenting the program since its inception 19 years ago.

Each year, the bank provides all the children with savings banks, as well as a dollar bill for each child to begin their saving habits.

Kathie Adkins of the Williams education faculty accompanied 9 education majors from the college, who presented the program.
