WBC Recognized by Operation Christmas Child

Williams Baptist College has been recognized for its ongoing work with Operation Christmas Child.  The Office of Campus Ministries at Williams was recently presented a plaque for five years of service as a drop-off point for Operation Christmas Child donations.
Vicki Pepper, regional manager with OCC, presented the plaque to Hayes Howell, director of campus ministries at Williams.
“I love the fact that we partner with Operation Christmas Child here in the WBC Campus Ministries Office,” said Howell.  “One of our goals here is to equip students to serve the world and show Christ’s love.  We are able to do that in a really practical way through our partnership with Operation Christmas Child.  I am amazed at the response of our students and the surrounding communities.”
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief and evangelism organization.  Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than 146 million gift-filled shoe boxes to children in need, covering more than 150 countries and territories.
Williams is a liberal arts college in Walnut Ridge.
