Provost, Harthorn Promoted at WBC

Dr. Ruth Provost and Dr. Steven Harthorn of the Williams Baptist College faculty were recently promoted to the rank of associate professor and granted tenure by the school. WBC’s Board of Trustees voted on both promotions at its Dec. 5 meeting.

“These two individuals represent the highest standards expected of the faculty at Williams Baptist College,” said WBC’s president, Dr. Tom Jones. “Their faithful example and interaction with students demonstrates the Christian commitment, professionalism, scholarship and work ethic that positively impacts the lives of our students. We are proud to serve with them and proud of the vital role they play in the mission and vision of Williams.”

Provost, a member of the psychology faculty, has been at WBC since 2004. She resides at Walnut Ridge.

Harthorn, a member of the English faculty, has been at Williams since 2005. He, his wife, Cathy, and their family also reside at Walnut Ridge.

Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college located at Walnut Ridge.
