Jerome Reed to continue Harding University’s concert Lyceum series

Jerome Reed, pianist, will perform Nov. 17 in Harding University’s Reynolds Recital Hall at 7 p.m. as part of the University’s concert Lyceum series.

Jerome Reed will be performing piano works from the 21st century composed by Victoria Bond, Judith Shatin, Einojuhani Rautavaara and N. Lincoln Hanks. Reed is the Patricia and Rodes Hart Professor of Piano at Lipscomb University. He has performed all over the world and has been broadcasted over U.S., German and Australian public radio.

Reed is also the director of the music division for the Tennessee Governor’s School for Arts and the past president of the Southern division of the Music Teachers National Association. Reed has received many awards including Lipscomb University’s Avalon Award for Creative Excellence in 2003, the Distinguished Service Award from the Tennessee Music Teachers Association in 2006, and Teacher of the Year from the Tennessee Music Teachers Association in 2010.
