Annual Student Works Show to Open at JBU

John Brown University students will present their talent in the upcoming art exhibit, “The Student Works Show” in the Windgate Visual Art Gallery. The exhibit opens with a reception on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. and will run through Thursday, March 20.

Highlights from the exhibit include:

Jarod Hamm, junior graphic and web design major: “Heavenly Bread Co.”- Branding & Information Design, “Audiophile” – Book Design and “Color Guard” – Photography

Shannon Henderson, junior Art and Illustration major: “Tom Hiddleston”- Oil Paint, “Boston Harbour”- Oil Paint and “Sea Shell”- Ink, Press Print.

Erynn Lasse, junior photography major: “The Barcelona Local”- photography, “The Streets of Barcelona”- photography and “Tolleymore Forest, Ireland”- photography.

The exhibit will display over 125 pieces of current students’ artwork, featuring photography, graphic and web design, printmaking, fine art, illustration, cinema and motion graphics.

The Windgate Visual Art Gallery is located on the main campus in Siloam Springs. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. All gallery exhibits are free and open to the public.
