Hutchersons Donate Land to WBC

Williams Baptist College now has six acres of land along Hwy. 67 in Walnut Ridge, thanks to a gift from Bob Hutcherson and his family. The Hutchersons recently donated the tract, which is located near the north end of the Walnut Ridge bypass.

“Williams has had several students we have been close to, and I just feel like this college is an asset to the community,” Bob Hutcherson said. “They are fine Christian young people, and that’s the kind of people we want to be associated with.”

In addition, Mullen Abstract of Walnut Ridge handled title work for the land transfer free of charge and waived its closing fees.

“We are so thankful for supporters like the Hutcherson family, as well as Mullen Abstract, who believe in the mission of Williams Baptist College. It is very rewarding to receive support like this within our own community, and we appreciate them very much,” said WBC President Dr. Tom Jones.

The land is situated at the corner of Hwy. 67 and Skil Road, across from Cavenaugh Auto World.

Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge.
