Gov. Mike Beebe and Mrs. Ginger Beebe are hosting a formal reception honoring Dr. Johnny and Sequoyah Moore on Monday, Sept. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Governor’s Mansion. The invitation-only event is being held to honor Dr. Moore, a 1989 graduate of Philander Smith College, who accepted the position as our 13th president last May. Plans for his inauguration are underway and a date for that event will be announced during the reception.
